GO train service is inching closer to Niagara.
One of our local MPP's was on hand to break ground this morning on the future site of the new Confederation GO station in Stoney Creek.
Jim Bradley joining Hamilton area MPP Ted McMeekin and Hamilton Mayor Fred Eisenberger at the site this morning.
The three also unveiling the new station sign.
Bradley says the new station on Centennial Parkway North " will help facilitate year-round GO rail service to Stoney Creek on the Lakeshore West line and will also lay the groundwork for future plans to extend a second rail track to Niagara Falls, connecting even more people and communities. "
The bus shelter is now up at the Beamsville GO stop.
Route 12 runs from the Ontario Street Service Road car lot.
The town of Lincoln says next up, sidewalk to get travellers safely to Ontario Street.
