Although there is renewed hope for the fate of the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital, residents are being urged to keep fighting.
During a meeting on Tuesday night, the Save and Rebuild West Lincoln Memorial Hospital resident group were told Hamilton Health Science officials are meeting with hospital staff.
The group's Facebook page calls the news 'heartening' but says many 'questions remain unanswered and clarity is lacking.'
Officials with the group encourage concerned citizens to continue signing petitions by November 23rd.
The community has been rallying around the beloved hospital after news broke last month that some services would need to be temporarily moved out of the facility during a 27 month renovation project.
Staff at the hospital have also told CKTB they worry the 'temporary' measures could mean a permanent closure of the facility.
