A Florida man is facing criminal charges after trying to carry two loaded guns and a backpack full of ammunition across the border.
Canadian officials at the Peace Bridge seized a rifle and a .357 calibre Glock from a truck driven by 22 year old Carjohntae C. Mitchell of Jacksonville according to Buffalo News.
The man also had 141 rounds of ammunition: 50 .357 calibre rounds in 50 and 22 round magazines, 90 5.56 mm rounds in 100 and 30 round magazines, and one 7.62 mm round.
Mitchell was turned over to Buffalo Police and is now facing second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and unlawful possession of certain ammunition feeding devices.
