Hail reported in some parts of Niagara as Special Weather Statement continues

A Special Weather Statement has been issued for Niagara.

Environment Canada saying we are in for unsettled conditions this afternoon with scattered thunderstorms producing small hail and gusty winds.

Then yet another disturbance will sweep across Niagara tonight.

It may also bring hail.

The main concern is damage to tender crops and plants.

Forecasters also saying that isolated brief funnel clouds and wind gusts to 70 km/h may also be associated with a few of these storms.

The funnel clouds are not expected to touch down.
