Niagara Regional Police with the help of the RCMP and Regional Police in Halifax have laid charges in connection to a robbery that took place earlier this month at the Tremont Medical Pharmacy in St. Catharines.
The pharmacy on Tremont Drive was robbed on October 2nd.
An investigation has revealed 26 year old Jason William Buckler Benn of Halifax as the suspect in the robbery.
He's also the suspect in a theft of gasoline from a gas station on 4th Avenue that had happened a couple days prior to the pharmacy robbery.
Benn is in custody in Halifax on an unrelated matter and has been charged with theft under $5,000, possession of property obtained from a crime, armed robbery and 2 counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
Arrangements are being made for him to answer the charges against him here.

It is believed that he was in or around the Niagara Region from September 30th to October 5th.
