St. Joseph's Healthcare has released its response to a $10 million lawsuit filed by the family of a Brock University student shot and killed last year while coming to the aid of an older man.
The hospital says Yosif Al-Hasnawi had no vital signs when he arrived at St. Joseph's hospital the night of December 2nd.
The statement of defence adds it is not reponsible for the 19 year old's death after he was shot in the stomach.
The victim's family is suing the hospital, police and EMS claiming all were negligent in treating the young man which contributed to his death.
