A Hamilton judge and former Conservative MPP will not face any disciplinary measures after getting caught wearing a Donald Trump campaign T-shirt in public.
Toni Skarica was cleared by the Canadian Judicial Council after a Dundas resident filed a complaint last year.
Lorne Warwick tells the Spec he was shocked when he saw Skarica wearing a "Make America Great Again" T-shirt, questioning his ability to be impartial.
The council in a letter posted on its website says Skarica only wore the T-shirt as an item of historical memorabilia and he does not support Trump, nor does he intend to wear it in public again.
Another Hamilton judge, Justice Bernd Zabel faces a disciplinary hearing August 23rd for wearing a "Make America Great Again" baseball cap in court the day after Donald Trump was elected president.
