The Hamilton police marine unit tweeting out this week, "Another day, another floatie rescue."
The unit was called out onto Lake Ontario again after another floatie was blown three kilometers off shore.
It happened Monday afternoon when two women called 911 to report the blue and white floatie in the shape of a speedboat drifted away from Van Wagner's Beach.
It was just last week, police rescued a family of three adults on a giant pink flamingo float after they floated on the lake for nearly four hours.
Police again reminding people to tie their floats securely because offshore winds can take them out quickly.
Another day, another floatie rescue! This one off #HamOnt Van Wagner's Beach, #LakeOntario. 2 adult females blown 3km off shore. These items should be secured to shore. Off-shore winds can take them out quickly. Be aware of conditions & prepare accordingly. #BoatingSafety pic.twitter.com/3MBInUidwd
