Hamilton police confirming a man charged after a woman was struck by a vehicle in the parking lot of the Walmart in Stoney Creek is also under investigation by the forces Hate Crime Unit.
47 year old Dale Robertson is facing charges of threatening death, dangerous driving and failing to remain at the scene following the Friday afternoon incident.
Police now confirm a video of an argument that broke out in the parking lot and posted to YouTube is part of the investigation.
The driver of a pickup is heard on the video threatening a man and woman yelling "I'm racist" and "I would kill your children."
Police say the couple who were targeted are traumatized by what happened.
