A Hamilton woman is raising money to bring the body of her teen nephew home from Jamaica after he drowned in a river swollen by Hurricane Harvey.
Nineteen-year-old Garnet Haley died last week while he, his sister and father visited family.
His aunt, Keelie Young, says her nephew's father left him by a river for a few minutes and when he returned, he had vanished.
Young says the river was much higher and faster than usual because of the reach of the storm, which has also slammed Texas and Louisiana.
Young says her grieving family is buoyed by the outpouring of support from friends and family who have donated more than 12-thousand dollars to a Go Fund Me account which seeks to 20-thousand dollars.
