A few familiar faces will be taking up their old roles for the city of St. Catharines:
St. Catharines' deputy mayor remains unchanged for the new term of council as councillor Matt Harris was unchallenged for the position.
Meanwhile, Kelly Edgar has garnered unanimous support from city council to reclaim his spot as regional councillor, filling the vacancy left behind as Jim Bradley takes up the mantle of regional chair.
Technically, Edgar's appointment still needs the support of regional council, but that approval is largely seen as a formality.
Edgar finished seventh during the municipal election in October, trailing Tim Rigby by one thousand votes and beating out Mike Britton by almost 500 votes.
