A Hamilton concert organizor has launched a multi million dollar lawsuit against a Toronto based talent agency as well as several of Canada's top performers.
Jean Paul Gauthier, the man behind the Harvest Picnic Music Festival as well as the Hamilton Music Awards is suing The Feldman Agency, Jann Arden, The Cowboy Junkies and Johnny Ried for $26 million for breach of contract.
Gauthier alleges the agency and performers breached provisions in the contract prohibiting them from playing within a certain radius around Hamilton within 90 days of the Harvest Picnic.
Meantime the Hamilton Spec is reporting several festival performers are waiting to be paid by Gauthier including Toronto based Rheostatics along with Hamilton natives, Jeremy Fisher and Tomi Swick.
