Heatwave continues in Niagara and much of Southern Ontario today.
Temperatures will remain in the 30's all week with humidez values in the high 30's to low 40's.
A slightly cooler airmass may move into the area this weekend, however there is considerable uncertainty.
Daytime highs Saturday are forecast around 26.
Hot and humid air can also bring deteriorating air quality and can result in the Air Quality Health Index approaching the high risk category.
The usual reminders are in place, never leave people or pets inside a parked vehicle.
Extreme heat affects everyone but the risks are greater for young children, pregnant women, older adults, people with chronic illnesses and people working or exercising outdoors.
Watch for the effects of heat illness, which include swelling, rash, cramps, fainting, heat exhaustion, heat stroke and the worsening of some health conditions.
