Police say it was due to a threat outside the school community, and it's not related to yesterday's incident.
The all clear has been given to the high school, which is hosting a volleyball tournament today.
Police say all students and staff are safe and they are now allowed to leave the building.
The principal of St. Therese Catholic Elementary School also placed the school under a hold-and-secure, but that has been lifted as well.
Yesterday, Port Colborne High, and two nearby public elementary schools, were placed under a lockdown after reports of a gun being brought to school.
Two 15-year-olds are facing charges after the gun was found outside the school.
