A familiar face from the Canadian comedy circuit will be hosting this year's televised New Years Eve broadcast in Niagara Falls.

Gerry Dee, known for his sitcom Mr. D, will be hosting CBC's coverage from the Falls.

The night also includes performances from Canadian music superstars such as Burton Cummings, Walk Off the Earth, and the Sheepdogs.
