A veteran Soo Greyhounds squad proved why they are the #5 team in the CHL, beating the young IceDogs 8-1. Dan Singer's 11th came 10 seconds after the opening goal of the game and along with the goaltending of Colton Incze were the two highlights for the visitors.
Incze made 45 saves in a losing cause, including 19 in the opening period. The IceDogs gave up two after Singer's marker and trailed by 3-1 after one and 6-1 at the end of 40 minutes.
It's a quick turnaround Sunday with a game in Sudbury. The puck drops at 2 and 610 will have all the action with the pre-game beginning at 1:30.
