A packed house in Welland as former Toronto City Councillor and PC Party leadership hopeful, Doug Ford arrived in the Rose City.
The brother of the late former Toronto Mayor Rob Ford hosted a rally at the Royal Canadian Legion on Morningstar Ave.
Hundreds of residents listened to Ford address the crowd and then waited in line to shake his hand and take a selfie.
Ford says he's the man to clean up Queen's Park, saying it's politically corrupt from top to bottom, and at one point the entire Welland crowd chanted "drain the swamp".
CKTB asked Ford if the sexual assault controversy surrounding former St.Catharines MP Rick Dykstra will impact the local vote.
He replied saying he didn't know Rick well and Dykstra ran into "bumps into the road", but it's not about Rick or Doug, it's about the people of Ontario who want change.
Tomorrow, another candidate Caroline Mulroney will host a lunch in St.Catharines at Johnny Rocco's.
Former MPP Christine Elliott held an event in Hamilton tonight.
PC party members will pick a new leader in March and the election is three months later in June.
