Hurricane Florence, forecast to become a category 5 storm has now been downgraded to a category 2.
But she is still a monster storm with wind speeds of 175 km/h.
Forecasters says Florence is barrelling closer to the Carolina coast.
It's expected to bring life threatening storm surges and heavy rains.
The storm is expected to impact an even broader area that first forecast, from Maryland to Virginia, the Carolinas and even further south to Georgia.
Nearly a thousand flights have been cancelled through Friday to parts of the U-S east coast .
Flights to Raleigh out of Pearson in Toronto have been cancelled but so far no cancellations this morning out of Buffalo's airport.
