Forecasters in the US have labelled Hurricane Harvey a "life-threatening storm," as it heads for the Texas Gulf Coast.
Landfall is predicted for either late today or early Saturday along a 50km stretch of coastline northeast of Corpus Christi.
Harvey is projected to become a major Category 3 hurricane, the likes of which hasn't hit the US since Hurricane Wilma in 2005.
There's potential for up to a metre of rain, along with 200kph winds and 4 metre storm surges.
