According to officials from the National Weather Service in Tallahassee, Michael arrived west of Mexico Beach yesterday afternoon with winds near 155 mph, making it the strongest hurricane to hit the Florida Panhandle in recorded history.
At this point, at least two deaths have been reported as crews start sifting through the debris looking for survivors this morning.
