The Niagara IceDogs have picked up overage forward Sam Miletic from London. Miletic sits 5th in OHL scoring with 16 goals and 38 assists.
Along with Miletic, the IceDogs get Sudbury's 3rd round pick in 2018. Heading the other way is Peterborough's 2nd in 2018, a 3rd round in 2022 and 2nd rounders in 2024 and 2025. According to IceDogs GM Joey Burke, the team gets a high end talent who will slot in along side Akil Thomas, while surrendering only one pick in the next 6 years, the 3rd rounder in 2022, where the 'Dogs already have a draft choice from a previous trade.
In Miletic, Niagara has a player with 56 goals and 67 assists in 135 OHL games. Sam Miletic will be in the lineup Thursday night when the IceDogs host Erie.
