The Niagara IceDogs have now recorded points in seven straight games after a 4-3 shootout defeat to visiting Oshawa. The last team to defeat the Dogs in regulation will be here Saturday night as the Sudbury Wolves come to town.
Down 1-0 before the midway mark of the first, the IceDogs responded 1:34 later as Andrew Bruder converted a rebound, with help from Philip Tomasino and Josh Dame.
Once again, Billy Burke's team would give up a goal before the ten minute mark of the second but again the Dame-Tomasino-Bruder combo would even the score 45 seconds after. Josh Dame's first of the year, in his first game of the year tied the night at two. Dan Singer's fifth of the season at 15:40 provided the Dogs with their only lead of the night, with assists credited to Kyle Langdon and Zach Shankar.
Oshawa counted the third's only goal in a game where the IceDogs were out-shot 32-29 in regulation and 4-2 in the five minute overtime. The Generals scored the only goal of the shootout to claim the extra point.
