Ninety shots and eleven goals turned into a 7-4 IceDogs loss to the visiting Soo Greyhounds Thursday night. Johnny Corneil brought the home fans to their feet, scoring the Teddy Bear Toss goal at 15:35 of the opening period.
The Greyhounds responded with two goals in the second before Chris Paquette would tie it a 2-all with his 11th of the year. Two more from the Greyhounds made is 4-2 after two periods.
In the third, Matt Phillip deflected a Ryan Mantha point shot for his 8th and Ben Jones buried his 8th, 37 seconds later, to tie it 4-4. A pair of Soo goals in 30 seconds lush another in under 3 minutes ended the scoring. The IceDogs were outshot 47-43.
Saturday night, it's the first visit of the season for the Mississauga Steelheads. 610 CKTB kicks off the coverage with the pre-game at 6:30.
