The IceDogs lost a game and a chance move closer to 6th spot in the OHL Eastern Conference with a 4-1 loss in North Bay. Oliver Castleman's 15th of the season gave Dave Bell's team a first period lead before a disputed goal would tie the contest.
In period two, goaltender Stephen Dhillon seemingly had a loose puck covered under his pad but the officials allowed North Bay to hack the puck free and tie the game. A second Battalion goal ricocheted off the knee of a North Bay forward just as the IceDogs had successfully defended a 5-3 power-play.
Two more third period goals, including an empty netter would close out the scoring in a game where Dhillon would again make 37 saves in defeat.
The IceDogs travel to the Soo for a Saturday night game, with the puck drop at 7:07 and the pre-game on 610 CKTB at 6:30.
