The IceDogs, one of four teams battling for three playoff spots in the OHL's Eastern Conference, will face the toughest schedule this weekend. It will be an all Western Conference affair with games Thursday night at home versus Kitchener plus a home and home with Erie beginning Friday night in Pennsylvania and concluding at the Meridian Centre Sunday afternoon.
The Dogs grabbed a big point on February 7th in Kitchener, while David Bell's team has picked up a win in four meetings with the CHL top ranked Otters.
Heading into weekend play, Sudbury holds down 6th with 53 points followed by the IceDogs and Ottawa at 50 and North Bay sits in 9th with 48 points.
For those who love to scoreboard watch, the Wolves play three games in three days beginning Friday in Flint. Saturday it's road action in Saginaw and a Sunday afternoon matchup in Windsor. Ottawa also plays three in three with a home and home beginning in Kingston on Friday. The 67's then head home for the Frontenacs and Barrie. North Bay hosts Barrie Thursday night before heading to Mississauga on Friday. The weekend concludes for the Battalion on home ice Sunday against Hamilton.
