The Niagara IceDogs will host the Canadian Hockey League's first Pride Game tonight against the Sarnia Sting.
Team owners Bill and Denise Burke say when the CHL put out a call for teams to host the game, they said yes immediately, noting it is a natural extension of the team's anti bullying campaign launched last year.
IceDog's players will be wearing Pride jerseys tonight, and after the game staff wil hold a live auction of game worn jerseys with proceeds going to the You Can Play project which promotes homophobia free sports locker rooms and venues.
