The IceDogs, or should we say Teepees, get an early start to their junior hockey week on a Tuesday night in Peterborough. The Petes are celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Peterborough Memorial Centre.
On November 8th, 1956 the opposition was the St Catharines Teepees, in a game won by the home side 4-3 in overtime. In honor of 6 decades of history, the Petes will be in their throwback T-P-T jerseys and the IceDogs will break out their Teepees attire.
In the two teams only game this season, the Petes won 5-3 on home ice, including an empty netter. The IceDogs have picked up points in four of their past five games.
Friday night, the IceDogs return home for the annual Remembrance Day Game. Barrie will be in town for a Central Division matchup that will be highlighted by pre-game activities honoring the sacrifices of our military men and women, both past and present.
Saturday night, the OHL weekend comes to a close with a visit from Sudbury. The Dogs beat the Wolves 5-4 in overtime, October 9th, on an Akil Thomas penalty shot winner.
All the action is on 610 CKTB, each night begins with the pre-game show at 6:30.
