Three goals in the first 2:35 of the game propelled the IceDogs to a 5-2 exhibition win in Kitchener. Stephen Dhillon was outstanding in goal as Billy Burke's Dogs faced a large number of shorthanded situations.
Ondrej Machala opened the scoring at the 28 second mark of the first with his third goal of the pre-season. Matt Philip's first came 1:10 later and Philip Tomasino first OHL marker made it 3-0.
The second period would see the IceDogs face five Kitchener power-play with the home side converting twice. Stephen Dhillon faced 15 shots in period two with many of the saves being of the incredible variety.
Andrew Sommerville made it a two goal budge with his first before the final period was five minutes old. Kyle Langdon made it a 5-2 final with his goal at 8:04. The shots on goal favoured Kitchener 32-29.
