The IceDogs can be forgiven for wondering if the OHL schedule maker has it out for them. After back to back, three in less than three day weekends, the IceDogs get to start their “weekend” early with a visit to Erie for a date with the CHL third ranked Otters.
It’ll be sixth straight road game for Dave Bell’s team and the first time this year that the Dogs face Dylan Strome. Ryan’s kid brother has 15 points in 6 games since returning from the Arizona Coyotes. The teams have split the first two meetings. The Dogs won 4-3 on October 6th and lost 6-5 on October 19th.
Following a late night in Pennsylvania, it’s back home for a Thursday night game with the Soo Greyhounds. Making it more special, is the annual Teddy Bear Toss event at the Meridian Centre. Plus, it’s the only visit to St Catharines for the Hounds.
The three game “weekend” comes to an end on Saturday with the first visit from the Mississauga Steelheads. In the year’s only meeting, the IceDogs came back from three down in the third, losing in overtime 6-5.
All three games can be heard on 610 CKTB. Each one begins with the pre-game show at 6:30.
