The IceDogs begin a three in three weekend on home ice with a visit from Saginaw Thursday night. Friday will see Barrie's first trip to the Meridian Centre and the weekend ends with the one and only trip of the year to Owen Sound.
It has been a big week so far for three members of David Bell's IceDogs. Dogs forward Graham Knott has been selected to play in the 2016 Canada-Russia series game in Hamilton on November 14th. Akil Thomas and Justin MacPherson will be in the Soo for the World Under 17 Challenge, which begins on Saturday.
Saginaw arrives with Mitchell Stephens leading the way. The Tampa Bay pick, a member of last year's Canadian World Junior squad, has counted 6 points in his 7 games played. Goaltender Evan Cormier, a Devils NHL draft choice, will be in goal for both OHL matchups with Russia next month.
Barrie Colts provide the opposition on Friday night, coming into St. Catherines with a record right at the .500 mark after 12 games. Overager Anthony Stefano is tops with 15 point, while Cordell James leads the team with 9 goals.
The 6 and 6 Owen Sound Attack will play host to the IceDogs Saturday night. Petrus Palmu leads the way on offence, his 10 goals are double that of any other Attack player. In goal, it's Michael McNiven and his 2.24 goals against average and his save percentage at .918.
All the action can be heard on 610 CKTB, with 6:30 pre-games on Thursday and Friday and a 7pm airtime on Saturday.
