The IceDogs began a stretch of six straight road games on a positive note, beating Barrie 5-1. Ryan Mantha lead the way with a goal and two assists while Stephen Dhillon blanked the Colts for 58:40 for the win.
Ben Jones on the power-play made is 1-0 with his 6th of the year, just past the mid-way mark of period one. Just over 30 seconds later Oliver Castleman extended the lead with his 7th of the season. No bus legs in the first as the IceDogs out-shot the Colts 17-5.
On to period two where Ryan Mantha controlled the puck out of the Barrie corner before firing a snap-shot for his 8th of the campaign. A man advantage would make it 4-0, as Akil Thomas notched his 6th.
In the third, Matthew Phillip would count his 7th on assists from linemates Castleman and Singer before Barrie would break the shut-out late.
It's a quick turnaround on a Sunday afternoon as the IceDogs play in Sudbury. 610 CKTB will have the call beginning at 1:30.
