Niagara Police have released an image of a suspect after a stabbing in St. Catharines.
It happened Sept. 4th, 2023, at 10:35 p.m. in the area of Riordon Street and Gale Crescent.
A 46-year-old St. Catharines man was found with stab wounds.
The victim says he was walking through a parking lot off Gale Crescent, with a friend, when he was approached by two suspects.
The suspects tried to rob the victim's friend, and a fight broke out, leaving the 46-year-old with serious injuries.
He has since been released from hospital and continues to recover at home.
Police have released an image of the first suspect in the case, who is described as black, just under 30 years old, with a medium build.
He was wearing black pants, a black hooded sweatshirt with t-shirt visible underneath, and black running shoes with a white sole at the heel.
The second suspect is described as black, around 16 years old, with a thin build.
Area residents are also being asked to review their surveillance footage and contact the lead detective by dialing 905-688-4111, option 3, extension 1009450 with any relevant information.
