One person has been arrested for impaired driving in Niagara on the Lake.
The NRP stopped approximately 200 vehicles over 2 hours during a Friday evening RIDE check that also took place in St. Catharines.
Of those stopped, one driver had a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit of .08.
In addition to a 90 day driver's licence suspension and 7 day vehicle impoundment, that driver also faces criminal sanctions that could result in a 1 year licence prohibition.
Another driver received a 3 day licence suspension after testing in the "warn range".
Several others were also issued tickets for infractions under the Highway Traffic Act.
