Ontario's inflation rate is tracking just a hair under the national average.
The latest report from Statistics Canada says the June rate was 2.5% nationwide, up from 2.2% in May. It represents consumer prices rising at their fastest pace in more than six years in June.
In Ontario, that rate is at 2.4% - up just .1% from the month before.
The agency says higher prices for gasoline, fuel oil, airline tickets, restaurant meals and mortgage interest all contributed to the boost in inflation.
