The head of the St. Catharines Professional Firefighters Association is calling a decision by the city ordering firefighters not to strip down for the annual charity calendar unfortunate.
Ryan Madill says they have never received any complaints.
He adds last year's calendar raised $18,000 for mental health services and also serves as a morale booster for the firefighters involved.
The annual calendar features members of the St. Catharines Fire Combat Team who strip down to their overalls.
The city's Deputy CAO David Oakes tells CP News, the policy was developed after the city received an internal complaint about another calendar, featuring partially undressed women displayed in a municipal building.
