Representatives from 26 countries are battling it out at the International Canoe Federation Canoe Polo World Championships in Welland.
Competitors have come from all over the world including Germany, Italy, China, and Spain just to name a few.
Things get started today with a full slate of U21 competition. The finals are set for Sunday.
It's happening at the International Flatwater Centre and spectators get in free.
This marks the second time the World Championships have been held in Canada.
The provincial government gave the city $125,000 to help with the cost of administration, logistics, and execution for competition.
