An overnight fire that caused extensive damage to a 126-year-old church in Burlington, is being treated as suspicious.
Halton regional police say crews were called to Trinity Baptist Church just after 1:15 a.m. yesterday morning.
They say the Burlington Fire department extinguished the fire, but not before the structure suffered significant damage.
The Ontario Fire Marshall's office is investigating.
Police found the word ISIS spray painted on the building but won't speculate if the graffiti is related to the fire.
The church was originally built in 1891 as a Methodist church, became a United church, and was sold to the current Baptist congregation in 1975.
