It wasn't the first rescue for the 18 year old man who saved a toddler last week from falling off the roof of an apartment building in Hamilton.
Khalid Tabeteb was driving by the King Street East building with his father when they spotted the child .
The young man sprang into action, breaking through a first floor screen and scrambling to the roof where he pulled the toddler to safety.
His family says years ago while living in Syria he and his father ran out onto the street to rescue a two year old who had been shot in the legs.
Khalid and his family moved to Hamilton from war torn Syria in 2014.
