Italy's interior minister says a man killed in a shootout with police in Milan is the suspect in the Berlin Christmas market attack.
Marco Minniti says all the necessary checks were conducted, and the man killed was ``without a shadow of doubt'' Anis Amri.
The 24-year-old Tunisian was wanted by German authorities in the deadly truck rampage earlier this week.
Italy's ANSA news agency reports that he pulled a gun from his backpack after being asked to show his I-D, and was killed in the ensuing shootout.
