Former Regional Councillor and Wainfleet Mayor April Jeffs has been appointed to the Niagara Parks Commission.
She was appointed on January 31st by the Ford government and will serve a three year term.
Jeffs did not seek re-election in October's municipal election, instead she is seeking higher office in Ottawa running for the Conservatives in the upcoming federal election in October.
The province recently named Sandie Bellows, a regional councillor from St. Catharines as the new chair of the NPC, replacing Janice Thomson.
