Thousands of people gathered on Victoria Avenue in Niagara Falls for the #Justice4BlackLives rally.
The rally was held in solidarity with the Black community following the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis by police.
The rally included just over 8 minutes of silence, the length of time former Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin held his knee on Floyd's neck, killing him.
Niagara Regional Police Chief Bryan MacCulloch joined the rally to support the cause.
He spoke about it with Matt Holmes this morning. Click here to hear the interview.
Local Mayors and MPs also attended the rally.

I attended as an ally, and importantly, as a listener. I promise to listen to those who experience the injustice of systemic racism, amplify their voices and use my platform for change. pic.twitter.com/7ZfLbP9NAQ

Fed up with police violence, systemic discrimination, and racism against Black people, thousands marched in the scorching heat. Chants of "I can't breathe" and "Black lives matter" could be heard ringing across the entire gorge. Now is the time for change. pic.twitter.com/CAquzCuN7h
