Justin Trudeau addresses third instance of blackface I deeply regret this mistake

Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau is addressing photos that show him in brownface on multiple occasions spanning decades. 

Speaking today in Winnipeg, Trudeau said what he did "hurt people who shouldn't have to face intolerance and discrimination."  Trudeau said he "deeply, deeply regrets" his actions because it is "absolutely unacceptable" and he should have never done it. 

Trudeau says he should have recognized the racist history behind blackface, adding that he did not at the time due to "layers of privilege." 

This is the third instance where photos of Trudeau in blackface or brownface have surfaced ahead of the election in October.
