A number of issues reported in and around Niagara yesterday thanks to a violent thunderstorm that brought heavy rain and strong winds.
Several streets and sidewalks were flooded.
Catarct Road and Port Robinson Road was to remain closed over night due to flooding.
No word yet if it's reopened.
The Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority issued a flood watch and are asking residents to keep an eye on river conditions until at least noon today.
At present, water levels within our major watercourses are elevated but remain below critical thresholds.
With more rain in today's forecast, residents living along the upper portions of the Welland River, 20 Mile Creek, and 4 Mile Creek, especially in the Wellandport, Smithville, and Virgil areas, are encouraged to monitor river conditions.
