Toronto police say a teenager who allegedly tried to steal a shirt and tie for a job interview, and then had the clothes bought for him by a police officer, has landed the job he was after.
Police were called to a shoplifting incident last week, but instead of laying charges the officer decided to buy the clothes for the teen after learning he needed the clothes for a job interview.
Toronto police confirmed yesterday that the teen landed the job after his interview and is set to start work soon.
