King Charles the Third is being crowned at London's Westminster Abbey, in a ceremony built on ancient traditions.
The King travelled with his wife Queen Camilla to the abbey from Buckingham Palace in a gold-trimmed, horse-drawn carriage.
Tens of thousands of spectators lined the route -- the final mile of Charles's seven-decade journey from heir to monarch.
An estimated 2800 invited guests are inside the church to witness history.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Governor General Mary Simon, along with their spouses, entered the church in a procession of Commonwealth realms.
Other dignitaries include U-S First Lady Jill Biden, French President Emmanuel Macron and eight current and former British prime ministers.
Meantime, the Canadian contingent also includes astronaut Jeremy Hansen, who is set to travel to the moon next year as part of the Artemis-2 mission.
Indigenous leaders are also in attendance, including Assembly of First Nations National Chief RoseAnne Archibald.
