Kingston has made wearing a face mask mandatory in all indoor public places following an outbreak of COVID-19 at a nail salon in the city.
Mayor Bryan Paterson says that means people will have to wear a mask to enter places including grocery stores, retail stores, restaurants and hair and nail salons.
The local health unit says 18 cases of COVID-19 are now linked to one salon and 500 customers are being asked to get tested for the virus and self-isolate for 14 days.
Premier Doug Ford says the speed with which officials identified the rash of cases shows the province's contact tracing system is working.
