The record high water levels at Port Dalhousie have forced the Kiwanis Club in St. Catharines to change their annual Duck Race.
For the second time in 22 years, the ducks will get a bit of a break as officials swap out the race for a draw instead.
The draw will still take place on Sunday, June 16th at 2 p.m. in Port Dalhousie, but Kiwanis representatives haven't chosen a location yet.
First prize for the Duck Draw is $10,000, second place gets $1,000, and eight other participants will win $500.
Tickets are available from Kiwanis members and at local Goodwill Niagara and Avondale stores.
The proceeds are reinvested in local projects, such as the Kiwanis Hockey Program, Niagara Health System, and St. Catharines Kiwanis Aquatics Centre.
