Another rescue in the Niagara Gorge yesterday evening.
Niagara Parks Police, Niagara Falls Fire and EMS responded to an area near the lower bridge on River Road and extricated a female from the lower Niagara Gorge near the White Water Walk attraction.
Officials say the woman received a non-life threatening injury to her leg while walking off the trail.
Late last month, rescue teams had to extricate two hikers from the gorge.
Niagara Parks Police also advised just last week that the NPC Whirlpool Trail between markers #6 and #37 is closed due to unusually high water levels in the lower Niagara River.
