After less than a year on the job, the City Solicitor for the City Niagara Falls is calling it quits.
CKTB news has learned that Donna Jacques has resigned her position.
In an email to council members and senior staff, Human Resources Director, Trent Dark says Jacques decided to pursue a new opportunity with her former employer, Ontario Northland, which operates freight and passenger services in northern Ontario.
Jacques' last day will be next Friday, March 20th.
She joined the city on June 10th of 2019.
Prior to her hiring, the position had been vacant for approximately a year after the departure of former solicitor, Ken Beaman.
