An ongoing partnership with Enbridge Gas Distribution will allow the Lincoln Fire Department to buy new training tools.
Lincoln will get a slice of a $100,000 donation that will be shared among 20 fire departments as part of a program called Project Assist.
The money will be used to buy educational materials to enhance life saving techniques.
"Fire protection services in the Town of Lincoln is provided by volunteer firefighters who must continually train to be prepared to handle the wide variety of emergency incidents they encounter. Maintaining current, high-quality training materials can be a challenge for smaller communities, and we gratefully acknowledge the assistance of Enbridge to our community," says Greg Hudson, Fire Chief of the Town of Lincoln via a release. "By helping our firefighters, Project Assist enhances our ability to help the citizens of our communities."
